Parents are the best teachers.
Most people agree with the notion that parents are the best teachers, and It is hard to think the contrary.
In fact, parents are the first models that we have and they influence us from the first days of our lives.
This was proven by a famous experiment conducted on ducklings by the biologist Lorentz. [Here I should explain better the Lorentz example]
Obviously, I am considering the word “teacher” in a broad sense, not in a narrow and academic way.
On the other hand there is also another side that we must consider.
Although infrequent, there are cases where parents are a bad example. In family where parents are violent, abuse of drugs this might lead to terrible consequences for children growth.
In these specific situations, without any doubt, I will say that parents are not the best teachers, and this is also the reason why modern nations have instituted social services to protect children from this dangerous examples.
In conclusion, parents are the first and best teachers that we have in life, they shape our mind and behavior, we must be grateful and don’t take it for granted.
