Universities should give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their university libraries. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
I definitely don’t agree with the fact that University should give to students sports activities the same amount of money they give to libraries. The reason why is simple, because is not the mission of the university.
First, Universities were established for advanced studies and to push the limits of knowledge, and sports activities are an important but still a marginal activity of universities.
Second, libraries are a key environment that allows students to focus, allows them to access to expensive or rare papers.
However we must encourage and sponsor students’ sports activities there are different kind of benefits that we must consider. For example, in accordance with different research, practicing sports in general improves memories and brain performance.
Moreover sport is the best way for students teambuilding and developing new relationship.
In conclusion, we cannot forget the importance of sports activities, but is not useful for university to give them the same amount compared with libraries, because libraries are one of the key drives for university success. I consider libraries as the highway of knowledge and sports activities a gas station where you can recharge you batteries.
